History

It was 1976 when Fred Beutler established Southern Plumbing Supplies as a small back-yard operation in Canberra's industrial suburb of Fyshwick. He sold plumbing fittings and tapware—mostly to customers outside Canberra.

The business progressed slowly, moved to new premises, then began to flourish as work started on Canberra's largest ever construction project: the new Parliament House building.

As Parliament House opened, Southern Plumbing began to take off, expanding beyond Canberra and setting down roots in all sections of its markets. Here are some of the highlights:


More than 30 years after it began, Southern Plumbing Plus is now firmly established as the leading independent supplier of plumbing, irrigation, bathroom, kitchen and laundry products in the ACT and southern NSW. And we’re determined to stay at the pinnacle of our industry!
